All is well with Foxy and I, we are getting on great and having lessons most weeks which is great for my confidence. We even did a wee show at the stables at Christmas where we jumped a very small course and even got a 3rd. I hadn't jumped a course in almost 20 years ! Working at Avonmill and knowing the quality of horse that Joanne sources I knew that when I was looking for a new horse to compete she would find me an outstanding new friend. Abbie, a 15.3hh mare who had jumped almost to Grade A in Ireland by OBOS Quality out of a Flagmount Diamond mare, arrived last weekend and immediately jumped DC at her first show. Hi Joanne. Bit of a frustrating start with Freddie Fox as the weather been so bad and our school is flooded. Finally out for a nice wee hack at weekend and he was a star - in fact he was lead horse for most of the time :-) Can't wait to do more - got our eye on dressage in April and the common riding here in June.
Update - Jane helped me so much when I tried out Freddie - just some very sensitive words of advice from you allowed me to see his true potential and that was him sold. He is settling in well & exactly the horse you described.

This talented little mare was given the time and work that she needed and after just four weeks performed perfectly for the first customer to see her and is now heading off to her new home tomorrow. Hi Joanne, just to let you know Topper (Joey) has settled in really well. He's very popular with all the other horses. When he first came to us, he was in a temp grazing strip but that only lasted 24hrs as Tucker the old horse was so desperate to meet him properly he ran through the fencing! Thankfully no injuries there & him & Joey are inseparable now. Tucker was brought in early one day so Joey decided to jump a 4ft wall to be with him! The boy can jump!! He's very playful and just a darling. Rachel has had a few lessons on him and he's coming along great, even hacking out past tractors, lorries, washing lines, kids, dogs etc and has been a perfect gent. Can't wait to see what the future holds for Joey and Rachel but were sure it's going to be great! x Thanks again for Joey x

Just thought I’d bring you up to date with Belle (formerly Panda) and I. As you know I had a knee op just after I bought Belle which delayed us getting started but began riding again in January and having regular lessons, outings to difference places and getting her used to it. She has been amazing! She is just lovely. We are getting to know one another and how she ticks, and we did our first dressage competition today and she was amazing, taking everything in her stride and coming 5th. So pleased with her, and she looked stunning. We have started doing some jumping and she is proving bold. I am really enjoying getting to know her and am pleased to have something to write on your website.

When my horse of 12 years had to be retired from competition I started looking for another horse to compete but found it hard reading adverts and not knowing if they were genuine. I heard that a gelding bred locally was being produced for sale at Avonmill Equestrian and I was able to get his full genuine history from his breeder and Jo. Nero aka Star was bigger and greener than I was looking for but when I saw his pictures on Avonmill Equestrian's website I was amazed at how well they had him going in such a short space of time. I was nervous meeting new people and riding a strange horse in front of them but as soon as I met Jo and Jane I immediately relaxed in their company. I could have watched Jane ride Nero all day as she is amazing with young horses. When I rode Nero Jane was there to talk me through how she would ride him and my nerves were forgotten. I bought Nero and left him with Jo and Jane for a few weeks to further his education while I was away on holiday. In this time Jo organised and dealt with Nero getting his first vaccination, a check up with the dentist and also arranged for him to attend a schooling night with Jane where I was delighted to see him behave well and Jane did a fabulous job taking him round his first course of jumps.
Coming back from holiday I saw a big difference in Nero. His coat was gleaming and he looked much fitter and more balanced under saddle.
I can't thank Jo and Jane enough for everything they have done for Nero. They and everyone I have met at Avonmill are so friendly. I will definitely be keeping in touch and know they will be there to help me with Nero at any time.
