I contacted Joanne knowing that her involvement would give Troy the best possible chance of finding a loving, long term home. It was even more successful than I could have hoped for, with Troy securing a wonderful new home within 3 days of arriving.  We were lucky to be matched with a client who had already contacted Joanne looking for her next horse, and the entire process could not have been easier.

At 7 months pregnant I knew I wasn’t physically up to showing Troy to potential new owners, nor did I want the stress that goes with the sales process. I really can’t thank Joanne, Jane & the team at Avonmill enough for making the emotional process of selling Troy so stress free.

I’ll definitely be back in touch in a few years to find my next 4 legged friend.

It’s been a pleasure to have dealt with Avonmill Equestrian to both buy and sell.

My much loved horse went to Avonmill for schooling and sale during my pregnancy. Joanne was so kind and understanding, and really took the stress away from what was a very emotional time.

When the time came that I was ready for a new horse, I didn’t hesitate to contact Joanne again. We discussed my requirements, and Joanne quickly matched me up with the most lovely horse. I’m still pinching myself at how lucky I am! I didn’t ever think it would be so easy and straightforward to find my next equine partner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Avonmill Equestrian.

A change in circumstances meant a move from a yard which was home for more than 10 years and I moved to Avonmill on livery.   Jo & the team at Avonmill have been great - happy horse, happy owner a warm welcome and truly professional service.

I had my horse at the yard on full ridden livery for just over a year. It was an amazing yard, so friendly and so knowledgeable. Minnie was a very big Irish draft that was really green and a bit sharp, they brought her on beautifully treating her like their own!

I would just like to say a big thank you - it’s been such a pleasure to deal with you and the team at Avonmill to both buy and sell. When I made the difficult decision to sell Dotty I had no hesitation in contacting you. You kept me updated with pictures and how she was doing and I’m so pleased she has found a lovely new home. I would definitely recommend Avonmill.

Joanne, just a note to thank you for helping me with Dotty. Firstly listening to my story and requirements and secondly suggesting her. Then helping me with my first steps on her. It is all very much appreciated. I know it’s early days, but we are schooling well and have had a few hacks where she has given me confidence by being sensible. Planning to do a show later this month and a riding club evening. I’m really delighted with her. (Under statement!) Thanks again.

Well after months of being incredibly indecisive....selling one minute then taking him off the market the next, that’s Ted sailed through his vetting, sold and away to start his next chapter with a 4* eventer.   I was never going to get round to selling ted myself as i just didn’t want to go through it so I gave him to Avonmill Equestrian to find the perfect home for him...   Joanne was amazing from start to finish and I can’t recommend highly enough. A quick sale but with time taken to match Ted to the right home.  He’s found an incredible home and I’m very excited to follow his progress

I arrived at Avonmill Equestrian just over six months ago, in a bit of a state.  My 8 year old horse Henry had been lame on and off for six months and I was very worried about him having lost another horse to tendon injuries earlier in the year. Jo and the team quickly helped us settle and relax and set about helping me fix things. His lameness was quickly fixed with a good farrier and other issues melted away. I relaxed and began enjoying this quiet friendly efficient yard.

When we first started riding both Henry and I were very stiff and unfit and I have really enjoyed going right back to basics in my lessons with Jo, finally stopping some of my long standing habits (well most of the time!). Jo recommended a great physiotherapist for Henry to unlock some of his stiffness and in our lessons she helped me focus on getting him forward, bending and suppleness and gave me exercises to concentrate on when I was schooling. I’ve always been mainly a happy hacker but I’m really enjoying schoolwork now and the difference in both of us is amazing. Henry is a different horse to the one I arrived with.  It makes me want to press on and achieve more and I believe that we can.

I love the whole package at Avonmill. I always know my horse is safe and well looked after by the friendly team, there is help and advice on hand when I want it, and peace and quiet in stunning countryside when I don’t. Everyone is so friendly and I have quickly felt at home and welcome, and I am looking forward to a long and happy journey over the next few years.
