I have known Joanne for a few years and admired the horses she had bought for a long time. When my horse was sadly going to be retired it was the first place I wanted to look to start my search for a new horse. Anyone who has been through this knows how hard it is to find what you are looking for! However Joanne listened to my requirements and said she'd love to help.
Lottie was previously sold by Avonmill in 2014, she wasn't even advertised as her owner had just been in touch with Joanne to let her know she was for sale as her daughter was giving up riding. Joanne then called me and told me all about Lottie and what she was like and had been doing. She let her owner bring her to avonmill for me to try her as they didn't have an arena at home. Jane rode Lottie first to let me see how she went. She was exactly as described and just what I was looking for. I feel it's important to mention that Joanne didn't gain anything from this either and yet couldn't of been more helpful. I think this shows how dedicated she is to helping finding the right partnership for horse and rider. I will continue to recommend avonmill to anyone looking for a horse. Well I had to share as Sienna was a superstar yesterday, amazing double clear in an tough BE100 at South of England, would have been placed if rider hadn't gone wrong in the dressage!! Also we were so thrilled as they have a tricky coffin similar to what she got stuck at at Chilham and just pinged it!! Shows practice works!! She really is amazing, particularly sj just clear nearly every time!! She is amazing and I am so spoilt as she makes jumping easy. I have never jumped so many clears!
We are off to Dauntsey next weekend and then a novice to finish on!!!

Thanks a million for all of your help while trying Katie. I always found new horse buying very stressful, but not the case with you! Both my daughter and I felt very secure and supported throughout the whole process and nothing was too much trouble. That means a lot to us. Avonmill has just very successfully sold my six year old tobiano mare, Ruby Artist. One way and another I have been involved in the equine industry for fifty years and can honestly say I have NEVER known an establishment that can better Avonmill. The ladies attention to detail, in my opinion, is second to none and I would urge anybody who wants to find a good home for a young horse to use Avonmill.

Avonmill were amongst the first people I thought to contact when I started looking for a new horse. Joanne asked me all about what I was looking for and what I'd want to do. The type I was after was one very hard to find, but I am so grateful to the team for matching me up with a horse who fitted the bill 100%. I had been quite disappointed and stressed out with the horse hunting process up until I went to Avonmill, but Joanne put no pressure on me at all and was keen that I got the right horse. There were three possible horses for me to look at the day I visited, but I had thought in her messages that Joanne thought that there was one which was particularly suitable. I went with an open mind, as all three were gorgeous, but I very quickly realised that Rock was right up my street. He has been home for 2 weeks now and I am so excited about building a partnership with my boy. I would recommend Avonmill 100% to anyone who is looking for a new horse.

After reading great reports of Joanne and Jane at Avonmill last year I contacted Joanne to arrange for my last horse to go to them for some schooling as I was experiencing a few issues with him. Initially I had expected him to be at Avonmill for 2 months but what a friendly and helpful yard Avonmill is, I asked for a longer stay for him as he was so settled and kept in fantastic condition. He came back a different horse and enjoying his work much more. Now after having bought my second horse who is In need of some schooling, without hesitation I contacted Joanne and she is now at Avonmill happy, settled and ready to begin schooling. I can rest assured that she will most definitely improve and overcome her trust issues she has. I can't speak highly enough of how kind, sympathetic and patient both Jane and Joanne are with the horses. I would not consider going anywhere else for help with the horses other than Avonmill.

You've certainly got a good eye for a horse! Who knew Dizzy would turn into such a beautiful girl. Another fab solo hack today which is becoming so commonplace it shouldn't really be exciting anymore . . But she still makes me so proud. Off to try some xc jumps next weekend so I'll let you know how we get on!!
