Come C is in good form you would not recognise her now as she is much whiter and has really matured.  She had her first 74% at her last test of the year, so was very chuffed with her.  However I think she would much prefer to jump than dressage but that is just her bad luck!   She gets a lot fun though out and about with friends.  She is really easy in  company and is very happy to go behind rather than in front which suits me fine.   All the very best.

Rode Belle (formerly Panda) today, she was a star..   Never been that into dressage before... It just feels good on her! And she is proving very bold over sj and xc.   Will send some pics.

My horse has been at Avonmill coming up for 2 months now for livery and schooling and the difference in him is amazing. His flatwork is now perfect and his jumping has come on so much and he is a much more confident, fit horse. I can't thank Joanne and Jane at Avonmill enough for all their hard work, they do a fantastic job. The horses at the yard are so well cared for and happy. I have no hesitation in recommending Avonmill to anyone. I look forward to the next few months to no doubt see him progress even more.

A huge thank you to Joanne, Jane and the Avonmill team for having Rachel and Avonmill graduate Colin for a weekend bootcamp.   Only day 2 but already the biggest grin (and that's just Colin!) so sincere thanks for your time, skill and genuine aftercare!

I bought 'Stella' from Avonmill in January and am absolutely delighted with her. I had a lot of boxes to tick as I was after a quality young horse to bring on for working hunters, showjumping, and possibly also eventing and hunting, so it had to be scopey, a good mover, and good looking with all the bits in the right place!  In addition to all of that, I have a small family, and keep my horses at home on my own with no arena, therefore temperament was absolutely paramount. (I also wanted one around 15.2, preferably a mare, and dark bay is my favourite colour

So after chatting to Joanne and looking at lots of pics, I took the plunge and booked train tickets from Peterborough to Edinburgh where Joanne and her son Andy picked us up. We had a lovely day with the whole family, plenty of time to view, ride, and spend time with Stella, with no pressure, and then a lift back to Edinburgh. The vetting went smoothly and I found an excellent transporter to bring her down, it couldn't have been easier really. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Joanne and I would use her again myself in the future.

Had an absolutely amazing long weekend with Colin at Avonmill Equestrian for our intensive horsey boot camp. We learned so much and can't thank Jane enough for pushing us out of our comfort zone every day. Colin is such and honest and genuine horse, he took everything in his stride and never put a foot wrong! Huge thank you to Joanne at Avonmill for finding my most perfect horse! We're already planning a spring time boot camp!

4 years ago today I did the best impulse buy I have ever done and got my wonderful Rosie! Words cannot describe what she means to me and 4 years on we are competing at BD, something I never imagined I would be doing but she has made it all achievable! So if in doubt, purchase with your heart and not your head.

The amazing Sienna struck again today at Tweseldown, giving mum the best birthday/Mother's Day present. We have only got out to one show since last August but have been training when possible. She did a personal best in the dressage and the most easy and confident double clear!!  What a star, she really is my horse of a lifetime.

Over the moon with Connie today! She tried her heart out for me in both the 80cm and the 90cm and we finally let the handbrake off and started jumping properly!  Best ginger pony ever.

Loriot is doing his first BE event soon and he won a 1.10 SJ class recently.   Katie is loving him (he is a lovely soul) and they’re building confidence together.  Best wishes

Just wanted to send you a few pictures of 4yo Prem. Thanks so much for doing an amazing job in backing and riding her away.    She came home so relaxed and happy in her work. Really appreciate it. See you in a few months with the next one!

Lottie went to our first show today to pick up a 6th place in the 80 and an 8th in the 90! Big thanks to Avonmill, I couldn't have found a more honest, brave, fun horse!

Update: Lottie 3rd at her second BS show

Thought you might like an update on Toucan.   She has been going great and is coming on working away in the school slowly and going for short hacks along the road! Today we went for our first proper forest hack over ditches etc and she led the way! Toucan is such a character and everyone loves her on the yard!

At the weekend we welcomed a previous client and her friends to visit and last night received this message about Dizzy, our Chillout x Sky Boy x Arctic Que 5yo mare:

"Thank you to everyone at Avonmill for introducing me to my new horse Dizzy this weekend. Joanne sent me lots of emails and updates of her progress before I travelled up from Cambridge to meet her. And she was exactly as described; I felt like I knew her already. Thank you for making finding my next horse so easy and stress free. She is beautiful and I am looking forward to the next chapter."
